I would like to recognize the great work that the juniors and their sponsors did (during TCAP testing) regarding preparing for the upcoming ACT. Each year when we have our 9th and 10th graders testing for TCAP, the juniors do many activities to prepare for the ACT. Diane Parker, Adele Alfson and Carol Phillips did a great job correlating the activities that will give every kid an opportunity to succeed. They used a great teacher and resources, as they had Carol Smead on campus to provide expertise. On April 23rd all our juniors will be taking the ACT in our library. ACT prep week provided an opportunity to our core believe of increasing academic achievement for ALL students.
The week ahead-
Monday-I will be getting into some classes and reviewing lesson plans. I will be scrambling to find help for Tuesday’s track meet. If you want to volunteer, please contact me. I have a couple of RTI meetings planned mid-morning. In the afternoon, we have a DLT meeting as we will be working on our UIP (Unified Improvement Plan).
Tuesday-I will be back in classrooms to support instruction. In the afternoon, I will be helping run the freshman/sophomore track meet.
Wednesday-Back to observe instruction and do regular business. I have a bullying prevention meeting after school.
Thursday-My schedule is wide open to see more instruction and conduct payroll and regular principal items.
Friday- We do not have school.
Have a great week!
