Center School’s teacher of the year:
Russ Braiden
First, I would like to congratulate Center High School’s Russell Braiden as being our Center School’s candidate for teacher of the year. When observing how Mr. Braiden prepares students to achieve high levels and how he prepares students to be successful in life, it is evident why Russ was a clear cut winner this year. Mr. Braiden does an excellent job with relating to his students. Russ prepares our students to achieve at levels no one could have thought they could achieve. Mr. Braiden has high expectations and he does not waiver those expectations for anyone. Russ is a great candidate for our district, and in my belief has a great chance to be teacher of the year for the SLV. Mr. Braiden is an excellent teacher and employee for all of us at Center Schools!

· Next, I would like to thank Marsha Felmlee and Debra Lujan for the extra time and work they have put into helping us move into the new school. They have spent over 100 hours scanning personal files and documents. We asked them to do this last year, so we could reduce the space for our files and cabinets in our new building. They have both been working really hard at trying to finish before we move. They both come in on the weekends and after school to complete this task. I believe they are on the letter N in the alphabet. This is something that we will be doing on a yearly basis. We can scan and save files to reduce paper and have an easier way to look up files.
