Hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas vacation. I know the time with family and friends was much needed for me. But it is time to get back to business. We have had some great teaching happening in our building and that is credited to our great staff and students. It is time to gear things up a notch or two and get ready for the biggest assessments (TCAP/ACT) of the school year. We will continue to follow our core beliefs that will lead us to our goals.
1. Our purpose is to increase academic achievement for ALL students
2. With our support ALL children can achieve at high levels and be successful in life
3. Quality planning, instruction, and assessments lead to high achievement for ALL students
4. EVERYONE must be committed to excellence in ALL they do EVERY day.

The week ahead- Monday will be spent following through with procedures and policy with athletics and also completing teacher evaluations with Mrs. Zimmerman. I will also be scheduling mid-year teacher
evaluation conferences via Bloomboard. Tuesday will be pretty open to evaluate lesson plans, complete paperwork, and get into classrooms for observations. I have a DAC and school board meeting this evening. Wednesday I have some scheduled walk throughs and I am hoping to begin teacher evaluations during your prep hours. Thursday is my turn to be evaluated by Focal Point. Friday and Saturday
are the Valley Wide PLC held in Center to roll out the new curriculum. I won’t be in attendance on Saturday,
as I will be attending the Denver Broncos playoff game. I am a season ticket holder and can’t pass this one up. Go BRONCOS!!!!
A couple of reminders for the upcoming weeks.
Teachers-please do not forget about our “Good Conduct Awards”as we honor those students who are going above and beyond their daily expectations.
Finally, we will be calculation our NWEA data and winter benchmarks to analyze which students are required to attend after school tutoring to help them in various subjects based on results.
Have a great week!
Mr. Jones
