Congratulations to Mr. Newmyer on winning the Alan Shepphard Award
Mr. Newmyer (far right) and his 2012 Science Fair Crew!
Daniel Newmyer received some awesome news this week. He has been chosen as this year’s winner of the “Alan Sheppard Technology in Education” award. What a great accomplishment Daniel. I know how much extra time and effort you put into science and education. You deserve this award and all the recognition that goes with it. Daniel follows our core belief . I want to take this time to thank JJ and Betty in the central office. They did a great job of getting pay checks to our referees on a very short notice this past week. We had a seeding meeting on Sunday evening and found out that we were hosting two games last week on Monday evening. JJ and Betty had checks cut and ready to go that very same day. Thank you ladies for your extra effort in this manner. I know that you have a big responsibility in dealing with payroll for the entire district as well as the extra payroll involved in running our athletic programs. Thanks again!
This past week-
Monday I conducted some walk throughs, reviewed lesson plans, meet with Carrie, Tito, and Cruzita about discipline procedures, and we hosted basketball games Monday evening. Tuesday I conducted more walk throughs, pushed payroll requisitions through, and reviewed NWEA data. Tuesday evening I attended basketball in Sargent. Wednesday I conducted more walk throughs, conducted a phone interview for the Vistas, met with Ben Kern, and handled a few discipline issues. Thursday, I conducted more walk throughs, I reviewed TCAP procedures for scheduling, I participated in WTP dream team committee and finished the night with a meeting (parent involvement) in Monte Vista. Friday was spent in Del Norte with CDE and other administration. We were meeting about SB 191 and the pilot program. Saturday I worked a table at the middle school wrestling tournament in Center. Sunday I made a quick up and back trip to Denver to seed the regional 2A basketball tournament.
