Our purpose is to increase academic achievement for ALL students

Finally, we have hired some students from Adams State to help our students succeed. The intent of the tutoring program is to provide an opportunity for each student to get additional support for each content area. Our main goal is we believe with our support ALL our students can achieve at high levels and be successful in life. If you would like more information please call Mr. Jones at 719-754-2232.
After last week’s unfortunate event where I was involved in a car accident, I would really like to thank all the staff members who offered words of encouragement for me and my family. It was overwhelming how many great folks came up and talked to me about how my family was doing. It is truly amazing how fortunate I feel to work with the most caring people in the world. After an incident like this, it really makes me realize how fortunate I am! Thanks to all of you for your texts, prayers, e-mails and conversations. I really do appreciate how many of you showed you care.
This last week-
Monday-I took a personal day
Tuesday-I had a chance to start on mid-year evaluations. I looked at a variety of lesson plans. I did some work on midyear evaluations. I had two meeting with students/staff. We had an interview scheduled as well. I attended our monthly DAC and BOE meetings. Also, our wrestling team hosted Monte Vista.
Wednesday-We had an early morning BLT meeting at 6:45. I worked on some budget line items, worked on evaluations, scheduled mid-year evaluations, did a couple of walk throughs and had meetings.
Thursday- I tried to spend the majority of the day on evaluations, as they seem to be taking the majority of my time. That evening I attended a mandatory CHSAA sportsmanship symposium in Sanford.
Friday-I went back to Sanford for the sportsmanship symposium, I traveled back to Center to work on evaluations and conduct regular principal business.
Saturday-I was the administrator in charge at our home basketball games vs. Sanford, and later that evening I attended a Viking Athletic Association dinner that rewarded our members and head coaches.

I have one RTI meeting and at the end of the day I will meet with basketball coaches on a future event.
Wednesday-we have ICAP day. Mrs. Zimmerman and I will be meeting and evaluating our staff members that we share. In the afternoon we have a great PLC agenda for our teachers.
Thursday-more midyear evaluations and I will prepare for my personal evaluation.
Friday- I will be meeting with Ted Knight and George Welsh as I have my personal Principal evaluation/review.
Saturday-I will be covering athletic events (don’t know where yet).
Have a great week!
