Great things going on at Center High School
First, I would like to congratulate Alexa Lobato and Morgan Hart for making it to ISWEEP (International Sustainable World (Engineering, Energy & Environment) in Houston, Texas. After talking to Mr. Newmyer, it is evident that these two students put a lot of work, knowledge and effort into their projects. I personally know that these two students are very bright and knowledgeable. Both are students who are striving towards going to major college institutions. With Daniel’s help and support he is making sure our students are achieving at high levels. Alexa and Morgan have learned how to take their knowledge and apply that to their projects in a unique way. I would like to say congratulations to both of them, and good luck in Houston.

Center High School Athletics
I would like to congratulate Coach Scott Poole and our student athletes Kristi Martinez, Esmeralda Nungary and Valo Munoz for coaching and participating the San Luis Valley Arby’s All Star Team. This is an honor for all three of them to play with the best basketball seniors in the valley. They played the game Friday night and all three of them were able to compete with other athletes from the valley. Coach Poole’s team won on a last second lay- up after a time out called by Coach Poole. It was a great end to these three seniors’ basketball season.
