The new school has presented many great opportunities to Center High School, but it has also created some transition issues. One of the major issues that have been addressed in the last few weeks has been all the away extracurricular activities. When developing the sports schedules last year, I attempted to schedule most of the beginning season games for away games, just in case there were parts of the school not finished yet. Mike Phillips has been more than accommodating with the transportation of our athletes this fall. He has had
numerous events all across the state of Colorado these past few weeks and he has found ways to make transportation work for Center High School. Thank you Mike, for all your hard work and cooperation.
Another challenge that Center High School has had to overcome is the finishing up of construction in some areas. There have been a handful of teacher that have been delivering instruction to students for the past five weeks without a completed classroom. These teachers have been extremely flexible and professional with this issue.
They took this situation and found ways to make teaching still happen without complaining. Thank you for your flexibility and professionalism, Annie Rice, Lee Flood, Mark Jones, Dennis Schoenfelder, and Joe Martinez. EVERYONE must be committed to excellence in ALL they do EVERY day. This group of teachers is truly dedicated to our students. I can ask them to do anything for our students and I never get the word “no” from them. You people are not only great coaches, but you are great people. You are appreciated!
